About

Commute with Enterprise is a ridesharing program that allows the shared use of a rental vehicle for commuting to work

Overall Project Contributions

Upon joining the project, the product was live on the web, but the app was still in development. I helped modify key features based on stakeholder requests to meet app store requirements and synchronized mobile and web designs for a consistent user experience. I also contributed to the development of a new subscription model for future integration, allowing users to schedule rides on different days each week for hybrid work.

Project Results

The app was successfully launched on the Apple and Android stores. While investment was paused to allow time for new subscribers, the progress made set a strong foundation for future growth.

STEP 1

Gain a deeper understanding of the user

Gain a deeper understanding of the user

The overall product’s user research was revisited to gain a deeper understanding of the user. Research included personas, journey maps, moments that matter, business outcomes and top user needs.

STEP 2

Perform an in-depth analysis of impact points

Perform an in-depth analysis of impact points

The product consists of hundreds of functions and scenarios, each designed to support a different aspect of the user experience. To ensure a smooth integration, a Product Model Canvas was developed, providing a clear roadmap of all impacted screens and back-end functions, guiding us toward thoughtful and efficient integration.

STEP 3

Explore key patterns and architecture

Given the frequent need for users to schedule rides, the core pattern of scheduling was thoroughly explored with multiple options. The product team aimed to enable users to quickly select multiple days, leading to the decision to separate viewing and booking rides into distinct screens for a more efficient experience.
